WHAT IS INSIDE THE CAIMITO(Starfuit) LATEX THAT MAKES/GIVES IT'S LATEX THE PROPERTY OF ADHESIVE?

Well...we have this investigatory project that we have to make in order to be able to graduate and to make up for our loss in the previous gradings...Our topic is ';Caimito(Starfruit) as an all purpose adhesive';. We have already identified what part of the caimito is sticky and that is it's latex. The real problem which has been giving us a headache for quite some time now is WHAT is inside the latex that makes it sticky.
