always fascinated with special effects.But I live in sacramento and cant find anywhere to learn this topicDoes anyone know how i can get involved with special effects make-up..like latex..prosthetics...etc?
California is THE origin of special effects and Hollywood makeup!!! Go to a costume/makeup shop and purchase a good Ben Nye makeup kit. Get some extra liquid latex, etc. and the most recent version of a good makeup book. Richard Corson and Herman Buckman both wrote great books but I'm sure there might be some new ones since I used to do disaster drills. Take a college class in theatrical makeup for all the basics.
