Is this Band Aid reaction a latex allergy??

so, every time I use some kinds of bandaids they give me this horrible red raised itchy skin whereever the bandage was in the exact shape of it - Is this a latex allergy or could it just be the adhesive? Latex exam gloves at the dr's office don't seem to bother me but they really aren't in contact with my skin for hours at a time either...Is this Band Aid reaction a latex allergy??
I personally can't use bandaids because the adhesive actually makes my skin break out. When I go to the doctor they use regular gauze and paper tape because it has the mildest form of adhesive. In rare cases pulling off a bandaid has pulled my skin off with it. That's how I found out I was very allergic to the glue.Is this Band Aid reaction a latex allergy??
I am doing research on Latex Allergy. If you have a minute, it would help my project if you would take my survey on surveymonkey. Thank you!

It may be a latex allergy, or something called dermographia -- very sensitive skin gets easily irritated, nothing to worry about.

There are nonallergenic bandaids on the market, sold wherever you find the regular bandaids. look at the label.
Personally, I'm ';sensitive'; but not allergic to the adhesive in band-aids. If I put it on sensitive skin, like the inside of my arm, I get the rash. I don't if its on a tougher place like a finger.
possibly -quit using them and see if it goes away.
