Oil or Latex???

I need a quick answer.





Painting a door.


I pretty sure I primed it (ages ago) with a latex primer.


But the paint I wanted to use is oil.





Can I still do it???


Or should I put oil primer over top of the latex primer.


Will that even work??

Paint the door with an semi-gloss oil paint. You can paint it over a latex primer but not a latex paint.Oil or Latex???
It's not a good idea to put oil based paint over latex. You can put latex over oil or oil over oil. I would reprime the door, also. If you think the primer was latex; re-do in latex.
