Pros and cons?Latex vs. memory foam?
Memory foam and Latex are quite similar in the sense that they conform to your body shape. Memory foam does that better because it also softens at body temperature. So both of them contour your body.
Latex doesn't respond to body temperature which can be a good thing in colder and warmer environments (memory foam can get stiff or squishy depending on temperature).
Memory foam has no bounce at all, it's a dead foam whereas latex has some bounce.
Memory foam is a chemical product while some latex mattresses (the organic or 100%) ones are not.
As for support. Memory foam is a comfort layer, meaning the bulk of the support comes from what's underneath. Latex comes in different firmness levels and can be used to build a comfortable mattress without requiring another type of foam.
All mattresses that contour to the body pose dangers to small babies. This includes waterbeds and air mattresses.Latex vs. memory foam?
do not put a baby on memory foam. a family that i know have a 3 mon old baby and they laid her down and she turned her head when she was sleeping and suffacated.
ok. I worked at linen's And things. The memory foam gives no support really. It is comfortable if you like to feel like there is nothing underneath you. Latex i havent heard anything about. there are featherbeds and fiberbeds though. They are MUCH more comfortable than the memory foam. If you have back problems dont use memory foam. It all is based on preference.
If you sleep with a super-soft pillow. Go with memory foam.
If you sleep with a medium firm pillow or three or more super soft pillows go with latex.
If you like firm, but also like to feel supported, go with a fiberbed or featherbed. I would say fiberbed because featherbeds can begin to smell funny.
Both are birth control products.!!
